Directions

The Children’s Museum of Brownsville is located in the heart of Dean Porter Park in the Mitte Cultural District. Coming South on Expressway 77/83, exit 6th street and follow 6th street to the right going towards Gladys Porter Zoo. Make an immediate right on Pierce Street. Travel on Pierce past the school and at the gate, you will only have about 550 ft left before reaching the Children’s Museum. Parking is available in front of the park playground. The museum entrance is near the Plaza Fountain.

Parking

Parking is available in the Dean Porter Park parking lot east of the museum. Parking is a small walking distance away from the museum.  Handicapped parking is available.

Handicap Wheelchair/Stroller Access

Our guests are important to us.  The museum has a wheelchair and stroller access at the front museum entrance for easy access to the museum.  If there are special accommodations required to make our special guests more comfortable, please notify the Museum Manager in advance to consider these accommodations.
